Week X
Learning Styles
This past week was a week full of thrill. We got to learn about the different learning styles. The theory wasn't complicated at all, and while learning about it, we got the chance to test it ourselves by checking what type of learning style suits us the most.
Learning styles are crucial in education, and understanding them can come with great benefits. Various types of learning styles exist. One widely referenced student learning model is educational theorist Neil Fleming’s VARK model.
The VARK acronym refers to four types of learning styles: visual, auditory, reading/writing preference, and kinesthetic.
By our second class, we worked together in groups to do a recap of everything that we learned and do a test again about the VARK model. As expected, since we got interactive material and our peers to work with, we did it well.
